Enterprise AI Orchestration and Governance Platform
Nexos.ai was founded in late 2024 in Vilnius, Lithuania, by Tomas Okmanas and Eimantas Sabaliauskas — the same team behind the cybersecurity firm Nord Security
and its VPN brand. Their background in cybersecurity (via Tesonet, a Lithuanian startup venture builder) helped shape the mission: to bring enterprise-grade security, governance and observability to AI model deployments. They offer two components of their solution:
An AI Workspace: A web-based secure interface for employees and teams to work with multiple models, see outputs side-by-side, collaborate, and operate under guardrails.
An AI Gateway: A developer/engineering infrastructure layer that enables enterprises to plug in multiple LLMs (from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, etc.), manage routing, fallback logic, observability, cost controls, and even private/self-hosted models.
In January 2025, just a few months after founding, Nexos.ai raised initial funds of approximately $8 million in a round led by Index Ventures to launch its platform.
In October 2025, Nexos.ai announced a €30 million Series A co-led by Index Ventures and Evantic Capital, raising the company’s valuation to around €300 million. The growth plan includes scaling the team (hiring ~100 people), expanding across Europe and North America, and targeting regulated industries and public institutions where data sovereignty matters.
