Method Security, founded in 2023 and based in New York, develops autonomous cyber defense systems designed for critical national infrastructure and high-value enterprises. The company’s platform combines offensive and defensive cybersecurity capabilities

to continuously analyze, test, and harden an organization’s digital environment without requiring human intervention.

Method Security announced that it raised $26 million in a combined seed and Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst. Several other investors, including Blackstone Innovations Investments, Crossbeam Ventures (Michael Ovitz), NFDG, and Forward Deployed Ventures, participated in the round.

The company is led by co-founder and CEO Sam Jones, co-founder and CTO Sean Hacker and co-founder and president Daniel Kelly. Method Security is already working with government agencies and Fortune 500 enterprises to deliver machine-speed cyber defense capable of identifying attack paths, hardening systems, and responding to emerging threats automatically.
