Zero trust runtime control plane that authorizes and records every autonomous agent action

Once an agent is allowed to read sensitive data, call APIs, and execute multi-step workflows on its own, the security question stops being which model it uses and becomes whether a given action was authorized and where the instruction to take it came from. Lineation answers that at runtime. Every agent receives a zero trust non-human identity, and access is default-deny for each execution rather than granted once at deployment. An LLM and MCP gateway inspects Model Context Protocol data handshakes and outbound API calls as they happen, blocking prompt injection, goal hijacking, memory poisoning, and tool misuse before the agent acts on them, while a lightweight endpoint daemon extends the same enforcement to agents running outside a central gateway.

The forensic side is what the company's name points at. Lineation maintains a reasoning audit trail, an immutable record of the full contextual lineage of an agent's reasoning loop, so a security team or a regulator can query and replay the internal logic behind a specific action instead of inferring it from output logs. Policy is written and evaluated as code and applies across providers, and the platform ships compliance templates mapped to SOC 2, HIPAA, and EU AI Act obligations. The company says intercepting at the execution layer reduces incident response from hours to minutes. Lineation was founded by Cameron Manavian, who serves as CEO, with Jane Manavian as COO, is based in Carlsbad, California, and has raised pre-seed funding.
