Hydden is an identity security company that positions its platform as an identity system of record, a single data layer that sits across an organization's existing identity stack. Rather than replacing IAM, identity governance, privileged access management or identity threat detection tools, Hydden connects to them and to underlying systems such as databases, on-premises applications, legacy infrastructure and edge devices, learning their schemas automatically to assemble a complete inventory of every identity, account and privilege.

The platform is organized around three functions. Discovery uses an AI-driven universal collector to continuously find identities and map non-human accounts back to a responsible human owner. Observability surfaces hygiene and posture issues including exposed credentials, excessive privileges, dormant accounts and risky access patterns across hybrid environments. Control reconciles accounts to managed identities and analyzes access rights to enforce least privilege, helping teams remediate identity risks on an ongoing basis rather than during periodic reviews.

Hydden targets security and identity teams that struggle with the rapid growth of both human and machine identities and the blind spots created by siloed, disconnected tooling. By continuously consolidating identity data and acting on it, the company aims to reduce the attack surface and improve governance, including for AI-related access. Hydden has raised seed funding led by Access Venture Partners, with participation from the CISO-backed Lockstep fund, Service Provider Capital and angel investors, and is led by co-founder and CEO Jai Dargan.
