Identity and inline authorization for AI agents, enforced at every boundary they cross

Highflame addresses the gap that opens when an enterprise deploys agents faster than it can account for them. The platform first builds an inventory, finding agents wherever they run, in cloud workloads, developer IDEs, and SaaS tools, and mapping the relationships between each agent, the person who owns it, and the tools and data it can reach. Every discovered agent is issued a cryptographically verifiable identity built on SPIFFE, with explicit delegation chains and time-scoped credentials so that an agent acting on behalf of another can be traced back to a human principal.

Enforcement happens inline. Highflame evaluates what the company describes as more than 150 typed signals on each agent run and returns an authorization decision in under ten milliseconds at each boundary the agent crosses, covering LLM API calls to providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic, Model Context Protocol traffic, tool invocations, and credential use, with human-in-the-loop escalation and real-time revocation available for higher-risk actions. The resulting record is a signed, tamper-evident log usable as compliance evidence. Highflame is led by co-founder and CEO Sharath Rajasekar, and in April 2026 the company released its identity layer, ZeroID, as open source under the Apache 2.0 license.
