Inline gateway that enforces identity and access policy for AI agents and business-critical applications
Datawiza was founded in 2021 and is based in Campbell, California. Its founders are Dr. Canming Jiang, previously of Shape Security, now part of F5, and Cunhao Gao, who worked at Google and Amazon. Datawiza Access Proxy helps enterprises modernize authentication for business-critical applications, including JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, SAP, SharePoint, and custom-built web applications, without modifying application source code. It adds single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and conditional access against a modern identity provider.
The same architecture now serves AI agents. Agent Gateway sits inline between an agent and whatever it calls, whether an API, an MCP server, a SaaS application, or an internal system, and applies zero-trust policy per request rather than granting the agent a standing credential with wide scope. Datawiza Agent Gateway enforces identity-aware access policies and brokers downstream credentials without exposing backend secrets to agents. For requests routed through the gateway, it records the relevant user and agent identities, requested resources and actions, policy decisions, and outcomes, supporting security investigations and access reviews. Customers span enterprises, government agencies, and startups, including Ajinomoto Foods, New American Funding, Claremont Graduate University, Scot Forge, and Emirates Flight Catering.
