Cyber OS for CISOs — Risk Quantification, SecOps Visibility and Compliance in One Platform

CISOteria builds a cyber strategy platform aimed at chief information security officers and the security teams around them at mid-size and large organizations. The company was founded in 2018 by a group of consultants who, by its own account, had spent more than twenty years delivering end-to-end cybersecurity and CISO services to enterprises. The stated goal is to replace the spreadsheets, ticket queues and disconnected dashboards that typically hold a security program together with a single system of record.

Marketed as a Cyber OS, the SaaS product is organized into three connected layers. A SecOps visibility layer tracks the status, health and effectiveness of deployed security controls, prioritizes remediation work and ships built-in threat playbooks that can alert an incident response team. A risk management layer converts that operational data into an overall cyber risk score plus per-asset and per-business-process indicators. A governance and compliance layer runs gap analysis against frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, then generates and assigns the tasks needed to close each gap.

What distinguishes the approach is its orientation toward the CISO's own workflow rather than toward a specific detection or scanning function: the system is designed to translate technical posture into business risk language and continuous board reporting, and the vendor describes the underlying risk-based method as patented. A companion offering pairs the platform with a virtual CISO who builds a program sized to the client's industry and risk profile. Publicly named customers include Tel Aviv Municipality, Reichman University and the broadcaster KAN 11.
