
Agentic cyber assurance: AI agents that collect evidence, test controls, and hold audit readiness continuously
Cav is the company formerly known as Caveonix. It rebranded in 2026 and narrowed its product to a single category it calls agentic cyber assurance. The company is headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, is led by chief executive Ish Boyle, and describes itself as founded and led by veterans of the U.S. military. It names the United States Coast Guard, the United States Air Force, Fiserv, and BNP Paribas among its customers, and is backed by First In and Ten Holdings. On the change of direction, the company reports 2,500 percent growth over the past three years, a place on the Inc. 5000 list, positive free cash flow, and no capital raise in more than four years.
The product is Compliance OS, which Cav describes as an open-architecture agentic AI platform. Rather than assembling evidence in the weeks before an audit, its agents pull continuously from the environment, map what they find to controls across more than 50 frameworks, regulations, and mandates, test those controls, surface the gaps, and propose remediation. Evidence arrives through more than 50 inbound integrations spanning cloud platforms and their native security services, asset inventory, endpoint detection, SIEM, application and code scanning, identity, and awareness training, with a further set of outbound connections for pushing findings into the tools a team already runs. The company exposes audit workflows over the Model Context Protocol so an assistant can query compliance state directly, and supports continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) programs for federal customers. Cav states that this produces 90 percent faster audit cycles and 95 percent evidence automation.
The intended buyers are organizations that cannot treat compliance as periodic: defense and aerospace suppliers holding an authorization, financial services firms under overlapping regulatory regimes, and public sector agencies. For those teams the pitch is that control status is a live property of the system rather than a document produced on request.
