Personalized Phishing, Vishing, and Deepfake Simulations for Employee Training

Brightside AI is a Swiss security awareness company founded in 2023 and based in Lausanne. It sells to mid-sized organizations in Europe and the United States, across financial services, healthcare, hospitality, and technology, that face social engineering written with generative AI but have no in-house team to run a training program. The company raised a USD 1 million seed round backed by technology investor Social Links, and carries the Cybersecurity Made in Europe label.

The platform builds simulations from each employee's own profile: role, department, location, tenure, and the software they use. It selects and adapts templates from a curated library and rates difficulty against the NIST Phish Scale, so campaigns escalate from generic credential phishing to targeted spear phishing as people improve. Beyond email it runs vishing campaigns using interactive voice agents that listen and respond to objections in real time, with custom caller personas, voice cloning, and hybrid voice-and-email attacks.

Alongside the simulations the product ships an academy of interactive training modules, deepfake awareness content, and a report-phishing add-on for the mail client. Its distinguishing element is digital footprint mapping: rather than only scoring who clicked, it shows each employee which publicly available data about them made the attack credible and gives step-by-step instructions to reduce that exposure. That shifts the exercise from a pass/fail test toward reducing the raw material an attacker can use.
