Automated detection and takedown of phishing, brand impersonation, and online fraud across the public internet

Bolster protects brands from impersonation and fraud that happens outside the perimeter, on channels a security team does not control. The platform monitors look-alike and typosquat domains, social media accounts, mobile app stores, online marketplaces, fraudulent ad placements, and dark web sources, classifying what it finds with machine learning rather than routing every candidate to an analyst queue. The company says its crawlers assess several million sites a day and that its takedown engine draws on a threat graph of more than ten billion relationships.

The distinguishing piece is the takedown side. Bolster holds direct integrations with hosting providers, registrars, social platforms, and app stores, which lets confirmed impersonations be submitted and removed automatically instead of through manual abuse reports. Coverage spans eighteen social networks, and the dark web module reaches TOR, I2P, IRC, and paste sites where dumped credentials surface. The company also runs CheckPhish, a free real-time URL scanner that has become a widely used check for suspicious links; Bolster says it has scanned billions of URLs since 2018. Recent additions have extended the same detect-and-remove pattern to fraudulent advertising and marketplace listings. Bolster was founded in 2017 and is based in Santa Clara, California.
