High-assurance endpoint, cross-domain, and mobile security for UK government and critical national infrastructure

Becrypt was acquired by Leonardo in March 2026 and now sits within Leonardo's UK cybersecurity business

Becrypt builds security products for organisations that handle classified and other highly sensitive information, with a portfolio centred on the end-user device. Its secure desktop line pairs Becrypt OS, a locked-down operating system, with a thin client and an Enterprise Manager console, so a fleet of endpoints can be provisioned, monitored, and kept to a known-good state from one place. The company's heritage is in disk encryption and assured endpoint software certified through the UK National Cyber Security Centre, and it has continued to build against that assurance bar rather than a commercial one.

Alongside the desktop products, Becrypt supplies cross-domain solutions — the APP-XD gateway, VDI Guard, and mail and calendar sync — that let information move between networks of different classification without opening a direct path between them. A secure mobile line covers device management and document handling, and a set of cloud services offers a collaborative working environment and a managed OS service delivered from sovereign infrastructure. The customer base is concentrated in UK government, defence, and critical national infrastructure, and the company holds Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, and JOSCAR. Becrypt was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in London.
