AI Vulnerability Prioritization and Remediation for OT and ICS Networks

Bastazo is an operational technology cybersecurity company founded in 2020 and based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It sells to critical infrastructure operators in electric utilities, manufacturing, oil and gas, and maritime, where patching is constrained by uptime requirements and where compliance regimes such as NERC CIP govern how vulnerability work must be documented. The platform grew out of a US Department of Energy CESER-funded collaboration with Network Perception and the University of Arkansas.

Rather than ranking findings by CVSS severity, Bastazo applies contextual prioritization using SSVC decision trees, weighing an asset's actual exposure and operational role to isolate the small share of vulnerabilities that matter in a given environment. It identifies which vulnerabilities apply to the deployed assets, maps adversary intelligence and attack paths against them, and then generates customized remediation playbooks with step-by-step instructions. Compliance evidence is produced automatically as that work is carried out.

The platform also covers attack path simulation and recovery, and the company runs a separate OT cybersecurity training product called Agoge. Working exclusively in operational technology is the distinguishing choice: prioritization logic, remediation guidance, and reporting are written for engineers who cannot simply patch and reboot a production line. Bastazo's technology is combined with partner products to cover asset visibility and network verification alongside its own vulnerability and patch management work.
