Agentic AI workspace for privacy and compliance teams working GDPR, the EU AI Act, and the Data Act
Awesome Compliance Tech was founded by Marianne de Feijter, who held compliance officer roles at seven organisations before starting the company, and that history shapes the product. Most compliance software treats the work as record-keeping: a register to fill, a questionnaire to answer, a status field to turn green. The harder part, in practice, is interpretation, deciding what a given clause of the GDPR, the EU AI Act, or the Data Act actually requires of this processing activity, in this organisation, with these vendors and these data flows. The platform is built around that interpretive step rather than around the forms it eventually produces.
Its CoCo agents work alongside the practitioner, taking in the organisation's own context and producing analysis, draft assessments, and deliverables that a human reviews and owns. Registers, assessments, and compliance tasks are managed in the same workspace, and a client-facing portal lets consultancies run the work for several clients without leaving the tool. Users are in-house privacy and AI practitioners, external privacy consultants and lawyers, and enterprise compliance officers. Given the customer base, data handling is part of the pitch: the company states that client data is not used for commercial model training, and that the platform is built and hosted in Amsterdam under European encryption and GDPR requirements. It raised $1.5M in an early round.
