Apporetum is an Australian-owned identity and access management vendor building identity governance and administration capability for organisations standardised on Microsoft Entra. Its buyers are enterprise and public-sector IT and security teams across healthcare, government, transport and education that need to automate joiner-mover-leaver processes, evidence access decisions for auditors, and retire ageing on-premises identity infrastructure. The company name is a play on arboretum, applied to applications, and it frames its mission as humanising identity and access management rather than adding another specialist console.

At the centre of the platform is an ingestion and correlation engine the vendor calls the Hyphaverse, which pulls identities, accounts and entitlement data from connected systems and resolves them into one correlated view. A generic connector framework reaches Entra ID, Entra External ID, on-premises Active Directory, LDAP directories and disconnected systems in operational technology environments. Four modules draw on that layer: Data Insights for reporting, Identity Management for deterministic lifecycle automation, Access Management for delegated provisioning, and Access Reviews for manager-led certification. Deployment runs through the Azure Marketplace into the customer's own tenant.

Commercially, the pitch rests on flat-fee licensing with no per-user charge, which the vendor contrasts with seat-based IGA suites. Technically, it positions as Entra-native, orchestrating an existing Microsoft identity stack instead of running a parallel implementation, and as a modern replacement for Microsoft Identity Manager and FIM deployments still in service. Data residency inside the customer's Azure tenant supports Australian sovereignty requirements, and reporting is aimed at ISO 27001, SOC 2 and Essential Eight obligations.
