Founded in 2002, Apollo Information Systems is a Texas-based cybersecurity and IT firm that delivers security and compliance as a managed service to state and local government agencies, school districts and higher education institutions, and commercial enterprises. The company began as a value-added reseller and has since shifted toward outcome-based service delivery, expanding its managed security footprint through the acquisition of Austin-area MSSP CyberDefenses. Offices in Dallas and Denver support a national client base.

Delivery centers on Apollo Complete, which pairs a subscription platform called Aegis with a set of modular defense services. Aegis handles the program layer: enterprise-wide asset and exposure discovery across endpoints, servers, cloud workloads and identities; continuous control monitoring mapped to frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, CJIS, ISO and SOC 2; evidence collection for audits; and a dedicated vCISO who owns roadmap planning and executive reporting. Areas of Defense layer on around-the-clock detection and response spanning EDR and XDR, email protection, cloud posture and entitlement monitoring, and network traffic analysis.

The positioning argument is consolidation: rather than sell point products, the firm absorbs the operational burden of running a security program and reports on risk reduction rather than alert volume. Incident readiness tooling is pre-deployed so investigations start with telemetry already in place. Executive leadership carries threat-intelligence pedigree, with Mandiant and iSIGHT Partners veteran John Watters serving as executive chairman. Public-sector reach is reinforced by GSA and Texas DIR contract vehicles and a track record in election security work.
