Carrier-Grade Cloud Email Security for Enterprises, Telcos and MSSPs
AnubisNetworks is a Portuguese email security vendor founded in Porto in 2006, originally built to give telecom operators a cloud-based email security gateway they could resell to their business customers. It serves enterprises, telcos and managed security service providers across European and African markets. BitSight Technologies acquired the company in 2014 for its threat intelligence assets; in 2019 former BitSight staff spun the email security business out as Mailspike Technologies, which operates the AnubisNetworks brand today.
The core product, Mail Protection Service (MPS), sits in front of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or on-premises mail infrastructure and receives traffic through DNS redirection. Messages pass through more than a dozen threat intelligence feeds, including the company's own Mailspike reputation blocklists, four antivirus engines and two anti-spam engines with machine learning, alongside SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MTA-STS authentication checks. An optional Check Point sandbox performs dynamic malware analysis on unknown attachments for zero-hour detection.
Multi-tenancy is the main structural differentiator: unlimited administrator profiles in hierarchical tenant trees let a carrier or MSSP run large downstream customer bases from one platform, deployed hosted, on-premises or as a virtual or hardware appliance with SIEM and SOAR integrations. Additional capabilities include anti-fraud and BEC detection, data loss prevention, anti-spoofing, email backup with SSO-enabled webmail continuity, and CERT-level message forensics with full auditing. The free Mailspike.io reputation and DMARC lookup service extends visibility in the deliverability community.
