Embedded Antivirus Engines and Threat Detection Systems

Antiy Labs is a security vendor founded in 2000 and headquartered in Harbin, China. Its main business is engine middleware rather than a consumer-facing product: the AVL SDK antivirus engine is licensed to other vendors and device manufacturers, who embed it in their own security software, mobile handsets, and network appliances. The company reports customers in China, Japan, and the United States, and says the engine runs in billions of shipped products and devices.

AVL SDK ships in variants matched to where scanning happens. Base and Lite target endpoints and resource-constrained environments, Network is built for gateway and traffic inspection devices, and Mobile handles Android and other handset malware. Around the engine, Antiy sells its own products: the Endpoint Defense System (IEP), the Persistent Threat Detection System (PTD) for network-level detection, and the PTA and PTA-mobile platforms for automated analysis of suspicious samples.

Services cover threat intelligence, security monitoring and analysis, audit and testing, emergency response, consulting, and training, plus cloud malware detection and automated sample analysis that feed the engine's coverage. Antiy states it was the first Chinese company recognized by AV-TEST, and it submits its engines to independent comparative testing. Situational awareness and monitoring platforms round out the portfolio for operators running their own detection infrastructure at scale.
