Identity vulnerability management across human and non-human identities
Anetac focuses on securing non-human identities (NHIs) by providing real-time lifecycle management for service accounts, API keys, tokens, and other machine credentials across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The platform replaces periodic, audit-driven approaches with continuous monitoring and streaming analytics, identifying dormant accounts, unauthorized access paths, and privilege-escalation risks. It tracks access chains and detects anomalous identity behavior using machine learning analysis of usage patterns.
Anetac’s system is designed for enterprise environments requiring unified visibility across human and non-human identities. Core capabilities include discovery of hidden or forgotten accounts, enforcement of password-policy adherence, and identification of over-privileged credentials. Anetac positions its platform as a way to reduce attack surfaces tied to compromised credentials, citing statistics that such failures account for a majority of security incidents.
The company raised $16 million in May 2024 in an unspecified round led by Liberty Global. Participants include Shield Capital, The General Partnership, Anetac CEO Tim Eades and cybersecurity expert Jason Witty.
