Network-Based Security and DPI-Powered Intelligence for Service Providers and Enterprises
Allot supplies network intelligence and security technology to communications service providers and enterprises worldwide, with more than twenty years of operating history behind it. The business runs on two linked product families: Allot Secure, a network-based security platform that CSPs brand and resell to consumer and small-business subscribers, and Allot Smart, a traffic intelligence suite for mobile, fixed and converged operators. Shares have traded on both NASDAQ and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange since 2006 under the ticker ALLT, and headcount sits around 550.
The architecture rests on inline deep packet inspection running on Allot Service Gateways, offered as COTS appliances, software-only builds, or fully NFV-compliant and cloud-native deployments. Every packet of network, user, application and security data is classified as it transits, so the same inspection layer can drive policy enforcement, charging control and quality-of-experience shaping. Protection is delivered from inside the operator network rather than from an installed agent, letting products such as NetworkSecure, DNS Secure, HomeSecure and BusinessSecure onboard subscribers clientlessly.
Positioning rests on the argument that client-based consumer security sees weak uptake, and that only a zero-touch, network-native service reaches the mass market — a case the vendor supports with claimed revenue uplift of ten to fifteen percent above pure connectivity. Deployments reportedly span over 500 service providers and more than a thousand enterprises, the latter buying traffic intelligence, DDoS protection and application control across public sector, financial services and higher education. DNS Secure is built jointly with PowerDNS technology.
