Governed infrastructure for building agentic AI and delivering it inside existing business systems

AISquared was founded in 2021 by Benjamin Harvey, who previously spent a decade at the National Security Agency and served as its head of data science, along with a founding group including Jacob Renn, Ian Sotnek, and Alvin McClerkin. The company's thesis is about the last mile: models get built and budgets get approved, but the output never reaches the screen where a decision is made, so every use case turns into a separate integration project. The platform's answer is a delivery layer that injects AI output into the interfaces of existing applications such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Slack, rather than asking users to adopt another destination.

Underneath that, the platform connects to enterprise data sources including Databricks, Snowflake, CRMs, spreadsheets, and APIs through more than 100 connectors, and lets teams compose agentic workflows in natural language against that governed data. The company organizes its approach around what it calls an AI Controls Framework, with role-based access control, audit logging, and a zero trust posture applied across the stack, plus analytics covering adoption, engagement, and model performance so deployments can be measured rather than assumed. Products are packaged for enterprise and federal buyers, and the company reports being named awardable on the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace. AISquared raised a $6 million seed round led by New Enterprise Associates in 2022 and a $13.8 million Series A with participation from ANSA Capital and NEA.
