Open-Source AI-Generated Image and Deepfake Detection

Aedilic was founded in 2024 to develop opensource tools for detecting AI-generated images and deepfakes. After raising money from Y Combinator, the company pivoted in various directions; one involved the development of drones, another involved drone delivery, and a third involved the concept of renting GPUs.

Despite the ambitious ideas, Aedilic’s website is little more than a logo and an email link. The X page of one of its founders, Lukas Schneider, states that he has now joined a different company, Nomadic Drones, as one of its founding engineers.
