
Hardware-Enforced Network Segmentation and Approved Encryption for High-Security Networks
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Malmo, Sweden, Advenica builds cybersecurity products for organisations that must move information between networks of differing sensitivity without ever connecting them. Its customers fall into four stated sectors: defence, government authorities, critical infrastructure operators and industry. Most product design, development and manufacturing happens in Malmo, and the company grounds its positioning in decades of work against Swedish national security requirements. It is a publicly reporting company that publishes quarterly results and order intake through a dedicated investor relations site.
The portfolio splits along two lines. Data diodes, ranging from the 100 Mbit DD500E to the 10 Gbit SFP-form DDSFX-10G, rely on an optical barrier that makes data flow physically one-way, so separation is enforced in hardware and cannot be bypassed by misconfiguration or malware. ZoneGuard, the data guard, instead permits two-way exchange but inspects every message against policy, validating XML against schema definitions, checking HTTP methods, value ranges and digital signatures, and allowlisting down to individual information fields while producing an audit trail.
Sitting alongside segmentation are the Arana and SecuriVPN encryption systems, hardware IP encryptors that use quantum-secure algorithms and a patented Three Domain Separation design keeping administrators isolated from classified traffic. Arana is an approved COMSEC system cleared for Swedish TOP SECRET and SECRET, EU SECRET and NATO Confidential, and is part of Sweden's national ComSec infrastructure. That certification depth, combined with domestic manufacturing, is the principal differentiator in a market where sovereignty and national approval weigh more heavily than feature breadth.
