AccessOwl is a SaaS access governance platform operated by Berlin-based Omni Owl GmbH, aimed at lean, fast-growing companies whose access administration falls to small IT teams or to engineering managers, HR staff and CTOs who inherit the job before a dedicated IT function exists. The product covers the full employee lifecycle, spanning onboarding, access requests, permission changes, periodic reviews and offboarding, for organisations running dozens or hundreds of loosely managed SaaS applications.

The platform sits between an organisation's HR system and its identity provider rather than replacing either. Joiner, mover and leaver events pull from the HRIS, while employees raise access requests in Slack that route to the correct approver and provision automatically on sign-off. Where an application exposes no usable API, connections fall back to integration accounts, private APIs and robotic process automation driving the vendor's own admin interface. Login and invite telemetry builds a running inventory of which apps are actually in use.

Coverage of applications that lack SCIM or SAML support is the central claim: buyers avoid the so-called SSO tax of upgrading every SaaS subscription to an enterprise tier, and over 400 integrations are listed as reachable this way. Access reviews assign reviewers, chase reminders, apply the resulting revocations and export evidence, syncing into compliance tools such as Vanta for SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and SOX audits. Published per-user pricing undercuts Okta, and the company cites 120-plus customers.
