It integrates directly with common business applications (e.g., Google Workspace, AWS, and Gusto) to collect real-time signals about security posture. 1Fort also automates practical improvements, such as MFA enablement, firewall/privacy tools, patching, backups, and anti-malware. This helps companies reduce exposure, prevent claims, and potentially lower premiums.

Alongside placing coverage with A-rated carriers, 1Fort provides an end-to-end workflow to complete applications, manage policies, and file claims, plus access to expert support (including virtual CISO services) to assess controls, prioritize fixes, and build a security roadmap.

1Fort announced an oversubscribed $7.5 million funding round in April 2025. The round was led by Bonfire Ventures with participation from Draper Associates (Tim Draper) and Karim Atiyeh (founder of Ramp). A cornucopia of previous investors also joined the round: Village Global, Operator Partners, 8-Bit Capital, Character VC and Company Ventures. Total funding stands at $10 million.
