Rebootless Micropatching for Windows, Office, and End-of-Support Systems

0patch is the vulnerability micropatching service operated by ACROS Security, an independent Slovenian security research lab founded in 1999 that introduced the platform in 2016 under co-founder and CEO Mitja Kolsek. It serves corporate administrators, resellers, and individual users running Windows estates, particularly organizations tied to legacy or end-of-support systems such as production machines, point-of-sale fleets, and specialized equipment that cannot be upgraded or rebooted on a vendor's schedule.

The approach centers on micropatches: binary fixes typically only ten to thirty bytes of CPU instructions, applied directly to code in process memory as each vulnerable module loads. A lightweight Windows agent retrieves patches from the vendor's servers and applies them without restarting the application or the machine, and any patch can be disabled or removed just as instantly. Administrators manage the agent locally through 0patch Console or centrally through the web-based 0patch Central.

Coverage extends to zero-days the original vendor has not yet fixed, generally issued free until an official patch exists, and to products past end of support including Windows 10 22H2, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 through 2012 R2, and Office 2010 through 2019. Enterprise tiers add computer groups, patching policies, silent unattended installation, SAML single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, and IP allow-listing. The company has committed to servicing Windows 10 22H2 for at least five years past Microsoft's October 2025 cutoff.
