Zania, founded in 2023 by CEO Shruti Gupta and headquartered in Palo Alto, California, is an agentic AI company that builds autonomous AI teammates for security, risk, compliance, and audit. Its platform uses domain-specific agents to execute end-to-end GRC workflows — such as evidence collection, gap assessments, and controls testing — reducing months of manual compliance work to minutes while maintaining high accuracy.

In September 2025, Zania raised an oversubscribed $18 million Series A led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Participants include Anthology Fund (backed by Menlo

Ventures and Anthropic), Palm Drive Capital, and senior executives from Amazon, Airbnb, PayPal, ByteDance, Reddit, Roblox, and PwC.

Early customers include Plaid, Grant Thornton, Stanford University, and a Big Four audit firm.
