Quantum-Safe, Crypto-Agile Encryption and Key Management at the Data Layer
Qanapi is an enterprise cybersecurity company focused on protecting data itself rather than the perimeter around it, positioning its technology as quantum-safe and crypto-agile, built for organizations that expect today's encryption to be broken by future computing. The company sells into national security, public sector, finance, healthcare and technology markets, and is led by founder and CEO Trent Telford, with a board and advisory bench drawn largely from senior US government and military backgrounds, including a former Secretary of the Navy and a former Virginia governor.
The core product, Karst, splits into three services. Karst_Gorge is an API that applies post-quantum encryption at the data layer across legacy and modern systems, tying encryption, identity and policy together through smart data proxies that encrypt and classify individual fields inside HTTP requests, with classification tags driving fine-grained access control. Karst_Echo provides decentralized, quantum-resistant key management, sharding encrypted material across trusted endpoints with zero-trust policy enforcement and anti-tampering, and is optimized for DDIL edge deployments.
A third service, Karst_Fathom, extends the same controls to AI and LLM workloads, providing cryptographically signed, end-to-end data lineage across ingest, transform and export phases. Alongside Karst sits Qanapi Flow, a Google Workspace add-on offering hosted S/MIME for Gmail, client-side encryption, live classification redaction in Docs and Slides, and automatic email classification markers with no plug-ins to install. Documentation frames the platform against FedRAMP, DoD IL4, CMMC 2.0, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA and GDPR requirements, with published partners including NVIDIA and Google Cloud.
