Partisia is a Danish cryptography group that commercializes secure multi-party computation (MPC), a technique that lets multiple parties jointly compute over their combined data while keeping each party's inputs private. Its roots trace to academic work on MPC by cryptographer Ivan Damgaard, and the team delivered one of the first large-scale commercial MPC deployments, a sealed auction for the Danish sugar industry. Today Partisia applies the same cryptographic foundation to a public blockchain and enterprise data platform.
The company's Digital Trust Architecture combines MPC with blockchain to address what it calls the digital trust paradox, where data grows more valuable yet harder to share safely. The platform lets enterprises and developers run confidential computations both on-chain and off-chain, enabling secure data collaboration, privacy-preserving analytics, key management, and confidential smart contracts. This allows sensitive datasets to be used and even monetized without revealing the underlying records, while preserving ownership and supporting regulatory compliance.
