Dynamo AI (formerly DynamoFL) was founded in 2021 by PhD-holders Christian Lau and Vaikkunth Mugunthan. The San Francisco-based startup specializes in enterprise-grade infrastructure for secure, compliant generative AI deployments.

The company has raised $19.3 million in funding, including a $15.1 million Series A in August 2023 co-led by Nexus Venture Partners and Canapi Ventures. Dynamo AI’s platform helps organizations manage AI risks (model memorization of sensitive data, compliance with data privacy regulations, hallucination issues and deployment at scale), targeting often regulated sectors like finance, electronics and insurance.
