ArmorText builds a secure out-of-band collaboration platform for organizations that need to keep communicating when their primary networks are compromised or unavailable. The company is led by founder and CEO Navroop Mitter, formerly a senior manager in Accenture's North American security practice, with engineering under CTO Alex Rudnev, who joined through ArmorText's acquisition of Uppidy. Buyers are security operations centers, incident response and legal teams, and critical infrastructure operators; the site names Xcel Energy, the E-ISAC, and the International Monetary Fund among users.

The approach it calls a Tier & Protect Strategy borrows from government practice: rather than replacing enterprise messaging wholesale, sensitive traffic moves to a separate channel that carries no dependency on on-premises infrastructure, Active Directory, or corporate single sign-on. Encryption is user- and device-specific end-to-end, so neither administrators nor the provider can read message content. Clients cover macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android, supporting direct and group messaging, voice and video calls, file transfer, and screen sharing.

What separates the product from consumer encrypted apps is retained enterprise governance: centralized user management, policy enforcement, federated trust for adding vetted external participants, encrypted audit trails, and retention to satisfy regulatory or legal obligations. Add-on modules extend the core, including Secure Gateway for end-to-end encrypted integrations, Reserve Capacity for dedicated crisis bandwidth, and a Sovereign Edition addressing data residency. Forrester named the vendor a Leader in its Q3 2024 Secure Communications Solutions Wave, and deployment is claimed in under an hour.
