Real-Time Visibility Into User Access Across Cloud, SaaS, and On-Premises Systems

Aceiss Inc. sells access observability software aimed at CISOs, risk managers, and compliance teams who cannot fully account for who holds which privileges across their technology estate. The company came out of stealth in August 2022 with $3.25 million in seed funding from Canaan, Insight Partners, Connecticut Innovations, and others, and was founded by Lloyd O'Connor, a financial services technology executive who previously worked in cybersecurity at Barclays. Early customers were described as spanning financial services, healthcare, media, and gaming.

The platform connects to cloud and SaaS applications through their APIs, while on-premises systems are reached with a lightweight agent, an approach positioned to avoid the data duplication and multi-year rollouts associated with traditional access control deployments. Once connected, it builds and maintains a live inventory of accounts, permissions, and activity, learns which privileges are appropriate, and detects anomalous behavior, unauthorized access, and dangerous combinations of privileges. Findings are prioritized by exposure, pushed out as alerts, and remediated automatically where the connected system permits.

Rather than replacing existing identity and governance investments, the design layers visibility on top of them and returns results through an API plus spreadsheet and PDF exports that support access reviews and audits. Reporting is mapped to NIST, CIS, HIPAA, ISO, CSA-STAR, HITRUST, and SOC 2, and the company frames its work against NSA zero-trust guidance for the visibility and analytics pillar. A packaged edition, Aceiss for GitHub, applies the same monitoring to repository access and is distributed through the GitHub Marketplace.
